Melania Trump endorses Bitcoin’s 13th Anniversary,launches NFTs
Melania Trump, wife of former US president Donald Trump, has also joined the list of celebrities to launch her non-fungible token (NFT) collection.
Melania launched her own range of NFTs last month on the Solana blockchain. At the time, she said the collection “embodies her passion for the arts.”
The bids are starting from a quarter of a million dollars and is titled ‘The Head of State Collection’ which includes a digital artwork NFT with Motion, signed by the former first lady of US Melania Trump and Marc-Antoine Coulon.
Melania’s endorsement is especially intriguing considering how her husband, Donald Trump, has repeatedly expressed his opposition to cryptocurrencies.
Back in June, he warned that Bitcoin “seems like a scam” — adding that he doesn’t like another currency competing against the dollar. Just last month, he told Fox News that the crypto markets could one day explode — making the dot-com bubble look tame by comparison.
